Pack a picnic and cycle towards Ngaaruawaahia, or Cambridge. The Te Awa River Ride is just a stones throw from the collection point just outside the CBD. See the Mighty Waikato River by bike and get some fresh air. Or maybe visit one of Hamilton's destination playgrounds. Whatever it is, we're local so feel free to chat with us about your planned adventure.
Cargo Curious Folk
You have seen cargo bikes around– it's an emerging scene. However, you have scoured the web and understand they unfortunately aren't priced in the toys category. These are real bikes, for real business and real fun. You need to test before committing to buying one, fair enough. Maybe your hire starts with a quick test ride and then escalates to you doing a grocery run? Your fantasy, not mine.
Photographers/Videographers
Do you want to film runners, cyclists, or get some streetscapes of Hamilton? Load up the front-loader with a tripod (or a person) and get some action shots! Maybe there's a place you cannot get to by car– a bike might be an option. Talk to us about how you might transport the bike to and from more remote locations.
The Rentals
Urban Arrow
The Urban Arrow is front-loading, bakfiet-style cargo bike. This bike can seat up to three children and/or carry your groceries.
This bike 400 Wh Bosch battery and mid-drive motor. The bike is a chain-driven, continuously variable internal-gear hub bike.
Magnum Voyager
The Magnum Voyager is an entry level e-bike. This bike can seat a small child via a Thule Yepp Mini* on the handlebar stem.
The bike sports an LG battery, rear hub-drive motor and throttle assist. Some cargo can be carried via pannier bags*
* Additional equipment such as pannier bags, helmets, Thule Yepp Mini seat can be hired.
The Finer Details
Bond
All hires require a $50 bond per hire which is refunded upon safe return of the rental. Multi-day hire to be negotiated on case-by-case basis.
Schedule
Half day (1/2 day) hires must be returned at 12 pm for AM hire, and 5 pm for PM hire.
